Q) How long does it typically take to conduct a sale? A) On average it takes two weeks to prepare your items and one or two days to conduct the actual sale.
Q) Do I need to be present before and during the sale? A) It can be unsettling to family members watching items being sold and lead to an uncomfortable situation. We have also noted that buyers can be intimidated by the owners presence. Your absence allows our staff to best perform their duties and bring about a successful sale.
Q) What should I do to prepare for the sale? A) Absolutely nothing. It is important that all items remain until the appraiser has determined their value. This keeps items of value from being inadvertently discarded.
Q) What are your fees? A) Typically, our all inclusive fee is in the 30% range. Obviously, an exact fee can not be quoted until we have the opportunity to view the estate.
Q) What are the benefits of holding an estate sale? A) Clients are typically facing the death of a loved one, downsizing or moving when they choose our services. We greatly reduce their workload and their output of time and resources.
